Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Charity

Yesterday I wrote about my gratitude to the midwives who supported me during my pregnancies, labours and early post natal days.
Today I want to raise awareness for a service that I hope I will never need to use but hope it will be there if I do need it.
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, also called Alder Hey in the Park is committed to providing children with the best treatments and care. Over 270,000 children and families are cared for each year. The Liverpool based hospital is dedicated to research in order to improve the medication, equipment and facilities. Researchers at the facility teach and train others to ensure that the future of children’s medicine is innovative and the best.
Alder Hey Children’s Charity supports this aim and is currently raising funds to build the second phase of the Institute in the Park to extend the building and therefore double the space to conduct research. Within this extended building, researchers and clinicians will continue to work to develop safer, better medicines and therapies for children to use in the NHS and throughout the world.

This is not just for OUR children: it is for ALL children.

The charity needs our support to provide these vital funds. As I stated above, 270,000 children and families need support every year, and children’s health around the world will benefit from the research conducted at Alder Hey.

Please support their research for our children, our future.

*I was asked to raise awareness of Alder Hey Children’s Charity. I have not received payment and all opinions are my own.

  2. Alder Hey is such a great hospital and know a few people who are very thankful to them for looking after their little ones when they were poorly.

Many children will need this facility. Great to see you raise awareness about it. I’ll keep Alder Hey hospital in mind for future reference.
